3月11日，比特币站上71000美元/枚，日内涨超2%，续创新高。据companiesmarketcap统计，比特币市值已升至1.398万亿美元，超越白银（1.380万亿美元），成为全球市值第八大资产。

据国际金融报报道，中国计算机学会区块链专委会执行委员高承实认为：“短期来看，比特币价格进一步上涨的可能还是很大的，还会有一定的上涨空间。从长期来看，随着比特币共识的进一步扩展，会有越来越多的机构和个人将其作为资产管理和配置工具，因此，其价格从长远来看必然还会进一步上涨。”
