2015年：以太坊迈出了第一步

根据 Etherscan.io 的数据显示，以太坊第一笔有价交易历史记录发生在 2015 年 8 月 7日，ETH 在那天被添加到了 Kraken 交易所，价格为 2.77 美元。但是在三天之后，以太坊价格就缩水了四倍，跌至 0.68 美元——之所以一上市就有如此大的跌幅，很可能是因为最早期投资者快速抛售的结果。
